Colin Richards, Managing Director
Colin has over 40 years experience in market research. He began his career working for MIL as a Research Exec before moving client side to Rank Xerox. After joining Denjon, where he worked on large scale Business to Business projects, he gradually moved towards a data processing role before (jointly) setting up The Tab Shop in 1982. The Tab Shop merged with Digitab in 1992. Colin is a member of the MRS and is a graduate of Birmingham University with a degree in Social Sciences.
Michael Wright, Deputy Managing Director
Michael has over 15 years experience in market research data processing, reporting techniques and statistical analysis. Michael’s team specializes in the generation of automated reports. Michael has experience of a wide variety of multivariate/ segmentation/ model building. He is a member of the MRS and is an Engineering graduate from Warwick University.
Chris Cook, Group Manager
Chris is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society. He has been with Digitab for over 25 years and is the manager of the statistical team . His role within Digitab is to support customers and to help development of business. He and his team have a wide range of multivariate statistical tools at their disposal some of which have been built in-house and are unique to Digitab. Cutting edge techniques such as SEM, Targeted boot strapping (TABOO), Latent growth analysis, Shapley Value Regression analysis, PLS, Latent class analysis, Neural Networks, supplement the normal range of multivariate methods.
Chris has also helped a number of Market Research organisations to empower their research executive staff to recognise appropriate analysis solutions to business problems by giving training sessions and operational review meetings.
Andy Pope & Ian MacNeil, IT Support
Andy and Ian are responsible for the company’s programming projects and IT requirements. Together they have almost 50 years market research programming experience.
Andy is an acknowledged expert in Excel (and VB/VBA programming) and has been awarded the coveted MVP status by Microsoft every year since 2004. Andy also is the author of the TABOO software.

Ian manages our IT systems and is also the author of our DigiWeb online interviewing software.
Ian provides technical and systems support, and has written many of Digitab’s application programs, including authoring our web surveying package.
Digitab Executive Staff
Digitab’s teams of analysts are all of graduate calibre and possess a variety of skills. The skills of the executives are appropriate to the team managed by one of the management staff highlighted above. These would include spec writing, programming, report production, statistical analysis and database building/maintenance.
Each team has a mixture of staff with different levels of experience, ranging from Graduate trainees to staff with at least 10 years of experience within Digitab.
